Have been working on Models
Since there is nothing much we can do other than sit and watch
Worked on the models.
Accuracy of model to final would be 90%

"A" has been here - Bricking haaaaas BEGUN
Yes we are being bricked - Finally started
We have been making our daily pilgrimage to the block to see if bricking has stared
It is finally happening
"A" has started bricking the garage - Here are some snaps of the walls of the garage
The column to support steel beam was bit of a disappointment because it eats into the usable storage area
Wonder what the gaps are for

Loo.ng Term Garden Plans
No one can accuse of being slow in the garden at least
We started visiting nurseries buying smallest plants at cheapest prices
As our blog implies we are broke after this house
So decided to buy smallest plants now and start growing them now, in the hope that would be at some decent size by the end of the year
We also bought a 20Litre plastic tub to collect grey water while using a shower.
This seems to cover the water for the plants
For those not in Melbourne we have an acute water shortage here
We have level 3 restrictions - meaning we can only water plants in the morning on a Sunday or Wednesday mornings for one hour only. We cannot water lawns etc
Planning the garden seems to be a very complicated task - planning retaining walls which is required all around the house, decks, paving and making sure the AG drains not covered.
We are thinking of getting help from a landscape planner assuming we can get a decent prized on.
Get the plan but we do the work later in stages.
At this stage we have bought lilly pilly (got the variety from from HelloHello called 'Neighbours-Be-Gone))- Using this for one side of the house
We also bought some pittosporum for the back of the house
Bought some palms and took cuttings during Xmas holidays from friends for the area around the aAfresco. far collecting plants that we like.
Some of the plants (Sure it looks like weeds the size it is)
Pots of Pittosporum
Palms for rear - can be seen from Alfresco
Miscellaneous - Cuttings from friends

Happy New Year - Bricks longing for a Brickie
Posting for Jan 5
Happy New Year to all of you and may you get what you deserve
We were at a friends place bringing in the New Year
Bricks have arrived - Colour looks good. No nasty surprises in this lot
25% of the bricks have arrived - We have a total 16,000 bricks
We are hoping that all the other lots that arrive later would colour match (Fingers crossed)
Especially after seeing nasty stories about brick colour on the homeone forum
The brick colour is from Boral Elan Series - Labassa with orange sand coloured mortar which results finally in a light brown colour
First Lot of Bricks
Close up to get the colour idea
Bricks and Bricks ... 4000 Bricks (1/4 ) in total
